I`m going to study at University, but I`m going to save some money on part-time jobs.
I think that it is possible to combine both of these things

Decision wether start university or get job depends mainly on financial situation of parents. It may have an effort on a future life. In our opinion good solution is getting part time job for one or two years and then, having money to pay for education, start University.

I’m going to uni, the cost over here (UK)is probably cheaper than Poland (government subsidises some of the cost), but still seems a rip-off that the primary and secondary education is paid for but university isn’t (what are the costs like in poland?).

As for why… There’s the future salary aspect, but there’s prestige as well, in any white-collar job [a job that requires a more professional, educated worker] you will be disadvanteged without a degree.

I plan to take a gap year, which I will hopefully do a bit of travelling during that time. I am applying for a scolarship at a company which would I would work for 7 months and travel for 5. After that I want to go to university and then who knows. The reasons for a gap year is that I do not want 17 years of my life dedicated to school, I feel I need a break. The scolarship would give me some security, and university would help me get a good job.

When I finally finish school I’m going to study at University in another country. I am going to get a part time job for year or two years to earn some money for study and then get a normal job for longer time>

that’s a good idea, Monika. You speak such good English that you could study in England. You will receive the same loan (money to pay for the course) as an English student and you only have to start to pay it back when you get a job.
I would like to study in Germany for part of my university course.

How long is a university course in Poland? We regularly spend 3 years. In Germany 5 is normal.

University can be expensive. Students have about 20 000 pounds of debts when they leave. For that reason many students from working class families decide not to go to university.

In my oppinion, job is better for youth who have to earn on their family.
For young people who have child or their parents are not able to earn money.
If somebody is reach or his/her parents are reach, studys are better than job after school. After studies they will have good job, for instance like their parents. So as we see money are essential in this case.

Nowadays you can’t get a good well paid job without education. If you want to earn some money you can work at the weekends.

A job on a university can be nice, but we have to know
lots of importand fings. On a university we can explore
lots of new people’s. In my opinion it can be funny fun
and maybe we will find a new LOVE. We will have lots of job,
but we will have free weekends.

A Job is better for money in the short-term, so you can accumulate funds, to purchase things that I want to have.

However, going to university is fundimental for getting a good career and aiming towards a high salary, and achievinga a high-status and well respected job.

Here in britain it costs 4000 pounds a year to attend university. Students finish with big debts and oftgen they can’t get a job. If they study something stupid. Sometimes it would make more sense to get a job after school. But I agree – university is probably the right option for me

Job or University? Actually in Poland, if someone wants to get good job must have a universuty degree. So we’ve the most students in Europe. It’s obvious young people study at the University or work abroad. Sometimes these people, who can’t leave our country are doing part-time job at weekends.

When I leave the Royal Grammar School I am hoping to go to a good university but I’m not sure what I want to study. I had plans to go on a gap year before university but due to financial implications this will not be possible. Recently in the news university tuition fees are increasing. I beleive the government should help to lower tuition fees which would in turn lead to more people with higher paid jobs. University is a good route to take in order to avoid the life of long work shifts for low amounts of money. In other words “dead end” jobs. The chances of getting a high paid job increases with a university degree.
