In Germany more schools are now offering lessons in the afternoon. There are always more subjects that pupils need to learn so you need more time to teach them - IT (information technology) is an example. We also have to learn PSHE - personal, social and health education for one or two periods a week. Now the government wants all pupils to learn about 'citizenship' .
