We think that it is better to start early school because than we have free time in the afternoon and we can do whatever we want. If we start school later and finish later we haven’t got much free time. We couldn’t meet with our friends and go to the parties. We haven’t time for relax.

I like finishing lessons early. I think later start and later finish school is a bad idea. Early start is bad, but early finish school is very good!!!

I’m someone who like to get up early and start work early. So I wish we could begin school at 8am and finish about 1pm. But by the time was have had a form period each day and assembly, the first lesson doesn’t start until 9.15 and then we have a long lunch-break. A lot of time is wasted during the day, in my opinion. Can I move to Poland?

I am not really an early morning person, and so I do not mind the current system. However I feel that an assembly a day is pointless and we should only have an assembly on once or twice a week. It may be more practical for some to have an earlier start, but I feel that no matter when I end I will still have to go back home and do homework. Either way I do the same amount of work.

I would like half days as they allow more time to spend with friends or family but i know that this means that the school would have to shorten holidays too. So i prefer longer holidays to shorter days.

I would like at first study and then only to be in work. Student has got many free time. I like free time. I at that time to relax and to make my favourite jobs.
When I grow up I will be of work in which I would do what I like. This work had to in order to meet my requirements.

Early start and early finish is better than later start and later finish. When you come back home early you’ve got a lot of free time in the afternoom. The only problem here is that to start early we have to get up early too. Nothing more.

I would love to have half-days so I could do more of what I want.
However, with longer school days you can learn more.
So there is advantages to both.

I see what you are saying, you love your free time :P :P :P I think that it could be a good idea if you still have to do the work ;)
If you want to succeed in life then work is needed!!!
So half days are kind of silly.

Kinga and Carolina what do you mean when u said “We would like Whole-day school because we like long sleep”??

I still have to get up really early and I ahve a full-day of school!!! :P :O :(

Sure, but I think parents like their sons and daughters to be in school in the afternoon. The the parents can work longer. isn’t that a problem for your parents?

I agree – but it is unlikely that we will cahnge to that system. In Germany more schools are now offering lessons in the afternoon. There are always more subjects that pupils need to learn so you need more time to teach them – IT (information technology) is an example. We also have to learn PSHE – personal, social and health education for one or two periods a week. Now the government wants all pupils to learn about ‘citizenship’ .

I enjoy having half days because I don’t have to work as hard and I can spend more time resting at home :D I feel a great relief when I return home from school.
